U8 - U12 teams include 1 weekly training session, training for U13 and older teams is an additional $120 per season. Goalie training is also available for an additional cost. Discounts are available for those returning players from the Fall 2009 season and multiple player families.

Congratulations to the TWO-TIME, BACK TO BACK, Lamar Soccer Club’s, South Texas Cup, EASTERN DISTRICT CHAMPS FOR FALL 2008 AND SPRING 2009!
THE U12 Lamar Lunachics ended with a 9-0-1 season this Spring. They won 1st place at the District Championship Tournament held in Cypress , TX , May 16th & 17th. Great teamwork girls! We’re proud of you!

State Champs 2008
Lamar Soccer Club’s U16 Lamar Lady Lightning won the State Championship onSunday in Austin. The Lady Lightning marched to victory Saturday with a 1 –0 game over Western Conference Exodus Pumas when Lamar striker Katy H.scored on a second half power shot from 30 yards out. Lady Lightning chalked up a second Saturday victory beating Austin’s AU Classics. With 14 minutes remaining Lamar striker Ashley S. broke past the Classic’s defender, beat the goalie, and scored the game winning goal. In Sunday's final game against Conroe’s Texas Rage, Lamar's goalie, Anisa V., made two critical, last minute saves to give Lamar a 0-0 tie and ensure the State Championship.Lamar's "Iron Curtain" defenders: Nisha P., Sarah S., Hannah M. and Katy H. shut out all three opponents, allowing no goals to be scored on Lamar at State. Co-MVP's at State were Emely A. and Hannah M. MVP for Sunday's final game was Goalie Anisa V. The Lamar Lady Lightning outscored their Spring season opponents 25-5. Lamar Lady Lightning have trained at Lamar Soccer Club since 2003. Fall Tryouts at Lamar Soccer Club are June 2 and 4 (6-8pm) at Richmond's George Park Soccer Complex.

Welcome Coach Jones!
Coach Jones’ soccer resume starts back when he played for the Lamar Soccer Thunderbolts in 1981. He then moved on to play div 1 soccer in the Houston area for Ed Camera and the Quest 77 team. He then returned to Lamar Soccer Club in the mid 90’s and played for Mario Lerma and the Lamar Santos team. He continued playing through school at Terry High School, he then went to the University of Mary Hardin Baylor, but and ankle injury ended his competitive career, so he finished his playing career at Sam Houston State University for their club team. After graduation he became the asst. coach at Brenham High School where he coached in 2 state tournaments and 1 state championship game. He was awarded the 2004 National Soccer Coaches Association of America and Adidas National Asst, Coach of the year while in Brenham. The next move was to Foster High School as the head women’s coach. In 2006 Coach Jones came to Pearland and is in his second year as head coach. This year got his 1st playoff win as a head coach and that win was also his 25th win at Pearland High school. Coach Jones holds a USSF D coaching license and is the director of training for Lamar Soccer Club. He has been named to who’s who of high school coaches the last three years. Coach Jones and his wife, Ami, have two daughters, Morgan who is 4 and Reese who is 2.

Parents help support your soccer stars & Players help support the Club! Lamar Soccer has Referee positions available for Adults & Youths. Register and attend one of the referee clinics and learn the ropes as an Assistant Referee for HYSA and Lamar Soccer Club youth games.
Referees are PAID for each game!!
Each club in HYSA must referee a certain quota of games each season. Lamar must meet that quota so Club teams can advance to District & State playoffs. If a club fails to meet its Ref Quota, NO teams from that club may advance to District & State.

Refs & Asst Refs receive $17.70 - $40 per game. Certification classes run about $50 and a Referee uniform runs about $50.
After refereeing your first 5 games Lamar reimburses you $25 on the initial certification fee & $25 on the Uniform.

The Lamar Soccer Club's Board of Director's meetings are held every 1st Wednesday of the month at the Pecan Grove Fire Station (upstairs) at 7:00pm, located on Pitts Road.
